About This Project
Wonderful Communications arranged a memorable stay for a selection of corporate EAs and PAs at the University Arms Hotel in Cambridge.
This gorgeous outpost is the oldest hotel in Cambridge and was built as a coaching inn alongside the city common, Parker’s Piece, in 1834.
The hotel has since undergone an £80 million rebuild project and the interior design captures and echos the essence of the famous Cambridge University, its colleges, and graceful surroundings.
The transfer from Cambridge train station to the hotel in a taxi will take less than 10 minutes, however, should you choose to walk allow for around 15 minutes or so.
Our Cambridge adventure commenced with a beautiful punt along the River Cam which all our EAs and PAs absolutely loved.
It was a truly iconic and serene experience coupled with stunning scenery while learning about the historic landscape from our informative punting guide.
Once we returned to the hotel our group got the opportunity to explore this good-looking property which consists of 189 luxury rooms and suites across four floors, with views over Parker’s Piece, historic Regent Street, and the hotel’s inner courtyard.
There’s also an impressive ballroom, library area and Parker’s Tavern restaurant and bar.
We were treated to a delicious menu curated by the talented chef Tristran Welch which consisted of dishes such as Honey & Thyme Slow Roast Norfolk Duck and Cambridge Burnt Cream which were both exquisite.
Overall, the University Arms Hotel is a first-class property that caters both to the leisure and corporate traveller.
With excellent food and beverage outlets and magnificent meeting and event spaces to choose from, this charming slice of Cambridge needs to be on your consideration list.
